Limitations of the Google Postal Code API

The google postal code api can be very useful to anyone who wants to build an application that needs to know the location of addresses. However, if you're planning to use it for any kind of serious purpose then it's important that you understand the limitations of the service.

The most common problem that you'll encounter is the ZERO_RESULTS error. This means that the geocoder was unable to find any matches for the provided address. This can occur for a variety of reasons including: the address is misspelled, the geocoder was unable to parse the request correctly, or the data was invalid in some way (for example a non-existent address or a country that does not exist).
Another possible error is an OVER_QUERY_LIMIT error. This may occur if you are over your quota for the current billing period or if your credit card on file has expired.
You can try to fix this error by using a different method to access the API, such as by using an api plugin like Apipheny (which comes with a 30 day free trial). You'll need to make sure that your app is configured properly and that you are using a valid API key in order to avoid getting the ZERO_RESULTS error.
Alternatively, you can also check out the USPS's own Postal Code API. However, this service is limited and not very well documented. It's also not very reliable, and you'll likely find yourself dealing with downtime on a regular basis.
